Trust & Verification

Most clone sellers say “tested.” Here is what we can actually prove.

Why chain of custody matters

Very few sellers can prove who took the sample, from which plant, on which date, under which unique test ID, and that the physical sample stayed under controlled custody until the result came back. Without that chain, “tested” is marketing language, not evidence. Our protocol is built to hold up under three kinds of pressure.

  • Customer scrutiny — a buyer can ask for the mother ID and the test record
  • Vendor disputes — if a batch shows problems later, the photos and unique IDs already exist
  • Regulatory and carrier review — documented clean stock supports the hemp positioning and reduces claim risk

Six principles we do not bend

These are the rules that make the claim defensible rather than decorative.

  • CCG owns the tests — we buy in bulk, assign the IDs, and ship the kits
  • Physical samples return to CCG or a CCG-designated lab, closing the custody loop
  • Photo evidence is mandatory before any sample is returned
  • Roots are the preferred tissue — detection is more reliable there than in leaves alone
  • One mother, one unique test ID. Mothers are never pooled for clearance
  • A clean result is required before a listing goes live

What we keep on record

Every cleared mother has a row in our master custody log, and it is the backbone of the HLVd-free claim.

  • Vendor, mother ID, and strain name
  • CCG Test ID, kit ship date, and carrier tracking
  • Photo receipt date and physical sample receipt date
  • Result, clearance or block date, and the next re-test due date

Vendors can request a copy of their own records at any time.

What happens when something fails

The protocol is only worth something if failures are handled the same way every time.

  • Samples or photos never arrive — no clearance, and the listings stay offline
  • Positive result — the mother is blocked from the CCG supply chain immediately
  • A customer reports a problem later — we pull the original Test ID and photo set
  • Broken chain, missing photos, or mismatched IDs — treated as not cleared, and the process starts over
